At the bare minimum, your HVAC system should be serviced at least once per year. However, CHF Mechanical recommends a maintenance check three times per year: once for heat, once for air conditioning and once for general maintenance. Our HVAC technicians will check your filters, coils, wiring and motor to make sure your HVAC system is running with the highest efficiency.

Since your HVAC system controls the quality of air in your home or building, over time the filters and ducts can get clogged with dust and dander. Air filters should be checked monthly. Disposable air filters (cardboard edge) are usually replaced monthly. Higher efficiency pleated filters should be replaced every three months.

Generally, a heat pump is an all-in-one heating and air conditioning unit and can be used all year long.
